The common people can only pray to Heaven to be free from him. In the past, King Jie of Xia was powerful, but he acted against the Way, so Heaven sent Tang to banish him. Today, though King Zhou's forces number tens of millions, they are disunited and disloyal. While we number only ten, we are united in heart and mind. Heaven will surely see the wishes of the people and hear their voices. Let us fight on behalf of the common people and carry forward the great work of King Tang!'

King Wu's army advanced with irresistible force, defeating the powerful Shang army at Muye. King Zhou of Shang committed suicide, and the Shang dynasty fell.
