Story:
In 494 BC, King Fuchai of Wu led his army to a great victory over King Goujian of Yue at Fujiao, and subsequently captured the capital of Yue.
King Goujian sent his minister Wen Zhong to seek peace with Wu, which King Fuchai was inclined to accept.
Wu Zixu advised King Fuchai, saying, 'Cultivate virtue and let it grow; eradicate evil completely.'
King Fuchai ignored his advice, and because he did not eradicate the evil thoroughly, he was eventually annihilated by Goujian 20 years later.
