Story:
After Sun Wukong (the Monkey King) caused great havoc in the Heavenly Palace, he was captured by the heavenly soldiers and generals.
Taishang Laojun (the Grand Pure One) put him into the Eight Trigram Furnace to refine him for 49 days. However, he emerged without a single scratch. He then took out his Ruyi Jingu Bang (Golden-Hooped Rod) and fought his way to the Jade Emperor.
The Jade Emperor immediately invited the Buddha (Tathagata) to intervene. Sun Wukong demanded that the Jade Emperor move out of the Heavenly Palace, or there would be no peace.
The Buddha sneered, "You beast, just newly transformed into a being, why do you utter such big words! You are utterly unworthy of being called a human!"
