Story:
During the Eastern Han Dynasty, the power struggle between the empress's relatives and the eunuchs was extremely fierce.
Emperor Shun of Han issued an imperial decree, ordering talented individuals from various regions to come to Luoyang, the capital, to take an examination. Li Gu was selected and appointed as Yilang (a high-ranking official).
After Li Gu was ousted from the capital by the eunuchs, he wrote a letter to General Liang Shang, hoping that the imperial court would learn from historical lessons, put an end to extravagance and waste, and prevent widespread public discontent.
