Story:
During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, General Xiao Yan founded the Liang Dynasty, becoming Emperor Wu of Liang, after overthrowing the Southern Qi.
He heavily relied on the corrupt official Zhu Yi.
When Hou Jing, a surrendered general from the North, rebelled, Emperor Wu of Liang ignored his minister Xie Ju's advice to crush the rebellion decisively. Instead, he boastfully declared his domain to be like a 'golden goblet without flaw.'
However, he was eventually killed by Hou Jing's rebel forces.
